UPDATE YOUR XIAOMI PHONES TO MIUI 7

Xiaomi announced MIUI 7 global beta ROM 5.8.22  but it isn’t available as OTA yet. Thus, it has to be flashed manually by the users in Recovery or Fastboot.

MIUI 7 is only available for Xiaomi Mi3, Xiaomi Mi4, Xiaomi Mi4i, Xiaomi Redmi 1s, Xiaomi Redmi 2, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3g, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4g.

FYI, Redmi Note 3G has no Fastboot Mode.
In this tutorial, I will tell you the steps for Recovery Mode.
Follow these steps to update to MIUI 7:
  1. Download the Recovery ROM for your respective phones and rename it  to update.zip
  2. Transfer this file to root directory of the internal storage of your device (do not put it in any other folder).
  3. Launch Updater app on your device, click the … icon at the top-right corner, and select Reboot to Recovery mode to enter.
  4. Once in Recovery mode, you can use Volume +/- to select up/down, and Power button to confirm. After entering Recovery mode, choose the language you use, select Install update.zip to System One and confirm, and then your device will begin updating automatically. Wait until the update is completed, choose Reboot to System One, and then your device should boot to the MIUI 7 version.
If you have custom recovery installed, just flash this file in recovery. ( I’m sure you guys know how to do that)
